Services — Consultation & treatment availability
Consultation and treatment availability for select referrals
Most engagements with this practice are evaluation-only — an IME, DME, neuropsychiatric exam, or expert opinion. In some cases, however, a consultation can lead to ongoing psychiatric treatment within Dr. Cichon’s clinical practice. This page exists because referrers ask before sending the case.
Why this question matters at the referral stage
Workers’ compensation case managers, adjusters, and personal injury counsel often hesitate to send a claimant for a psychiatric consultation when there’s a possibility that ongoing treatment will be needed but the consulting provider doesn’t accept that population for treatment. The claimant ends up evaluated and then bounced to find a treating psychiatrist separately, which is inefficient for everyone.
Just Live Clean offers outpatient psychiatric services (psychopharmacology and therapy) for a defined scope of cases. When a consultation reveals a treatable condition within that scope, Dr. Cichon can continue care without requiring a separate referral.
What treatment is available for
- Traumatic brain injury and post-concussive syndrome — the subspecialty area
- Post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma-related disorders — supported by specialty training in WET, CPT, EMDR, and Brainspotting
- Depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders following an industrial or personal injury
- Psychiatric component of chronic pain conditions
- Medication management for psychiatric conditions arising from or aggravated by an injury event
What treatment is NOT taken
- General clinical psychiatric care unrelated to a workers’ compensation or personal injury matter
- Cases without a referring attorney, adjuster, case manager, or physician
- Cases where the patient is the direct payer (we do not bill insurance)
- Active criminal forensic cases (competency, NGRI, sentencing)
- Disability evaluations
- Pediatric cases
How the process works
- Referring party sends the case for an initial consultation, IME, DME, or neuropsychiatric examination.
- At the initial examination, Dr. Cichon evaluates the claimant’s psychiatric status and determines whether ongoing treatment is appropriate and within scope.
- If treatment is appropriate, Dr. Cichon discusses recommendations with the referring party and proposes a treatment plan. Approval of treatment under the workers’ compensation claim is coordinated with the carrier or adjuster.
- Treatment proceeds via outpatient appointments — in person at the Las Vegas practice or via telemedicine where the claimant’s state of residence permits.
Engagement
We do not accept insurance. Treatment that follows from a workers’ compensation consultation is billed to the WC carrier or self-insured employer, with the same authorization workflow as the original consultation. Treatment that follows from a personal injury consultation is billed to the requesting party or under a lien arrangement with personal injury counsel (case-by-case).
Contact the practice with the case background and any specific questions about treatment scope before sending a formal referral.
